ENSURING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY & TRANSPARENCY

STG faces tough challenges: negotiating an intergovernmental agreement, allocating $20 million in bonds, spending sales tax revenue wisely, and managing pending lawsuits against the STG Fire District. We need the right leadership to navigate these challenges.

THE PROMISE OF ST. GEORGE SCHOOLS?

Underfunded public or charter schools won't serve us well. Specialized programs (gifted, advanced, special needs) could disappear. Massive legacy pension costs from EBRPSS could quadruple our tax bills.

SMART PARTNERSHIPS & REVENUE DIVERSIFICATION

Dependence on a 2% sales tax shifts a heavier burden onto working families as retirees-especially if new debts emerge.

WE ARE ALL ST. GEORGE

Asking questions about schools, how your tax dollars are allocated, about pending lawsuits, etc. doesn't make anyone "anti-St. George". That rhetoric has no place in our community.

HOME RULE CHARTER & OPEN GOVERNMENT

The council's handling of compensation has damaged public trust. While I support the Home Rule Charter's potential to give citizens real power through initiative and referendum, I don't believe now is the right time to implement it.
